Hello there.

I'm Emily Dumas, also known as Flowers in May. I'm a designer, illustrator, concert junkie and have been known to swear (a lot) and in the wrong circumstances. (oops, we all have our things)

My background? Well, I studied at graphic design at Salem State College (now University). After the best years of my life, I landed a gig in advertising where I worked on brands such as Dunkin' Donuts, Liberty Mutual and Major League Baseball. After six and half years, I left my fancy ad job in hopes of being able to do Flowers in May as my full time gig. 

Most of my days and evenings consist of sketching, blogging, designing and staying up way too late. If I'm not doing any of that here's where you can find me:

At a Live show; Sipping on gin and juice (okay maybe just high lifes); fueling up on coffee from a local coffee shop (iced black; hot with skim milk); scouring record stores for good hip hop; baking cupcakes; explaining Twitter to my dad; and eating fish tacos
